Soprana Time Only

The Soprana Time Only is Luca Soprana’s first watch under his own name: a three-hand steel dress watch that strips everything back to pure watchmaking. Built in the Atelier above Lake Neuchâtel, it focuses on essential time display, traditional mechanics and obsessive hand-finishing, produced in microscopic numbers for serious collectors.

Given the level of in-house work and handcraft, annual capacity is around 10 pieces, each delivered on an alligator strap with pin buckle. The Soprana Time Only is priced at CHF 65,000 in steel and 79,000 in rose gold or platinum, targeting collectors who value invisible craft and movement architecture over overt complication or branding.

    LSTO Movement

    Inside is Luca Soprana’s hand-wound calibre LSTO, designed and manufactured in-house. Its architecture recalls early 20th-century tourbillon movements, but reinterpreted as a time-only calibre: a large 12 mm balance dominates the view, held under a mirror-polished steel bridge and regulated by a long index for fine adjustment. The balance beats at 18,000 vph with an in-house hairspring featuring a Breguet overcoil and delivers a 42-hour power reserve from a single barrel.

    Design: quiet, minimalist, precise

    Housed in a 38.8 mm stainless steel, rose gold or platinum case just under 10 mm thick, the Time Only wears slim, balanced and discreet on the wrist. Sloping polished lugs keep the profile elegant and understated.

    A sophisticated dial

    The two-tone sector dial is a study in restraint: a ruthenium-plated, finely grained base paired with circular-brushed rings and engraved black markings, anchored by a small seconds at 6 o’clock. In-house, flamed-blued lance hands add a precise, architectural touch without any visual noise.
